Long Distance Moving Packages Starting @ $1899!
Looking to move a refrigerator, stove or hot water heater? This article will help you successfully relocate any large appliances that need moving.
Clean and dry your washer completely, inside and out. To prevent tipping or swaying, check your manufacturer's operational manual for instructions. Once you've finished cleaning, disconnect any hoses and wrap them in a towel before placing them back inside the washer for transport.
Before you move, be sure to clean and dry the area thoroughly. To avoid moisture during transport, leave the door open for a few days. Don't forget to disconnect all drain hoses - wrap them in packing paper or towels so they're safe during transit.
Before you move, make sure to clean and unplug all of your appliances. Once you've reached your new home, double check that the electrical outlets match up with what you need. And don't forget the lint trap!
Thoroughly clean and dry all parts, both removable and non-removable. If you have a gas range, disconnect it before your move using qualified technicians. At your new home, the technician will connect you to a new line, check for any gas leaks or blockages, seal all openings correctly and relight the pilot.
Before moving your appliance, make sure to defrost it and dry it completely. Also, check for expiration dates on any perishables and dispose of them accordingly. If you have a water dispenser or ice machine, turn off the water line and disconnect it as well. Finally, pack all loose/removable parts into a clearly labeled box.
Although taking the time to do this may seem tedious now, in the long run you'll be glad you took extra care of your appliances ahead of time. Let us know if we can help with anything else!
